Hangleton is an equal opportunity club offering sport, exercise and friendship on
and off the Green for everyone and always delighted to welcome new members from all
sections of the community.
We are open each year from late April to the end of September and the Green is open
to MEMBERS for bowling from 10.30 am until 9.30 pm EVERY day.
Players with all levels of experience are welcome and for beginners wishing to learn
the game FREE ‘One on One’ personal tuition is available within the club from qualified
coaches.
All necessary equipment and coaching will be available at the Club but you need
to wear shoes / trainers with NO heels

Directions
1. Nearest entrance to the bowling green in Knoll Park is via the walkway between
88-90 Rowan Avenue [BN3 7JH] alongside the bus stop directly opposite the junction
with Maytree Walk. Inside the park turn left and the club is approx. 30 meters on
the right
[Rowan Avenue together with Elm Drive form a one-way road system between The Old
Shoreham Road and Hangleton Road, Hove].
2. An alternative entrance is via the walkway between numbers 131-133 Stapley Road
[BN3 7FG]. Inside the park bear right and the club is approx.100 meters on the right
NOTE: No parking restrictions in the surrounding roads for either entrance.
SAFEGUARDING POLICY
Hangleton Bowling Club adopts and follows all policies and guidelines approved by
Bowls England and UK Anti-doping. We follow all procedures set out in Bowls England
Regulation 9, 9A and 9B. and will abide with all sanctions, recommendations and /or
decisions from the Case Management panel or National Disciplinary Panel

Hangleton Bowling Club Covid-19 Update
The Club will continue to use sanitising as protection and maintain availability
of sanitiser in the Clubhouse for personal use.
Members are encouraged, other than when taking refreshment, to maintain social distancing
by taking full advantage of the outdoor space.
The general rule still applies: DO NOT enter our Club if you, or any member of your
party are experiencing any Covid 19 symptoms or any cold or flu-like symptoms, in
particular a cough or high temperature. In these circumstances you should self-isolate
for the recommended period before considering any bowling activities.
