Bowls is an ideal sport for people of all age groups. You can start in your ‘teens and maintain your skills level well into you’re eighties. The basics are simple and you can learn to play in a day and although you may not master it in a lifetime you will have a great deal of fun trying.
It can be simple relaxation, exercise and laughter with friends on the Green or highly competitive trying to win one of the Clubs trophies. Either way it is addictive and enjoyable.
At Hangleton we welcomes new Members at all level of ability and the main thing is to enjoy the game and the companionship. This makes Hangleton an ideal club to learn the game if you are a novice or develop your skills if you are experienced.
On the following pages you will find a basic guide to the sport. A Membership Application Form and the Club’s Constitution and Rules
If you decide to join, Applications for Membership need to be Proposed and Seconded by existing Club Members. If you do not currently know any of the Club Members contact the Secretary who will discuss your Application and may be able to arrange for it to be sponsored.
